Nick Allen, Partner, has deep experience and an accomplished record in cleantech and on Wall Street. He was previously Morgan Stanley’s #1 rated analyst in terms of stock performance and was one of the top sell side analysts on Wall Street. He co-founded and lead the North American cleantech research group there covering names like First Solar, A123, and EnerNoc as well as others in solar, biofuels, efficiency, smart grid, emission reduction and advanced energy storage.
In 2005, he was an early member of ThinkEquity's Greentech banking franchise where he worked on notable transactions like First Solar’s IPO. In 2007 he worked with Sunil Paul on the Gigaton Throwdown project, which helped lead to a focus on innovations in finance and information technology as a key lever to unleash the innovations for the clean economy.
